MITNAL

MITNAL is a Shockwave3D shooting game developed by cybermonkey.org  in 2003. With permission from the original creator, LudiCraft has converted it to EXE format so that it can be played on modern platforms.

In the distant future, humanity has colonized nine planets across the galaxy. On the frontier colony world "Mitnal," ancient alien artifacts (OOPARTs) were discovered, leading to the development of the advanced fighter craft "Itzamna."

A dispute arose between the World Government and Mitnal's Autonomous Government over the use of this technology. While the World Government wanted to destroy all traces of the advanced weaponry to maintain peace, Mitnal insisted on building a defense force.

Conflict escalated when Mitnal, strengthened by continuing discoveries of ancient spacecraft, declared independence and war against the World Government. Now you pilot one of the few remaining Itzamna fighters, humanity's last hope against the technologically superior forces of Mitnal.
